Global Stainless Steel Production Statistics and Market Development Trend Analysis

Due to the differences in their chemical compositions, their corrosion resistance varies—ordinary stainless steel generally lacks resistance to chemical media, whereas acid-resistant steel typically exhibits excellent rust-free properties. The term "stainless steel" doesn't refer to just one specific type of steel; instead, it encompasses over a hundred industrial-grade stainless steels, each meticulously developed to deliver superior performance in its particular application area. The key to success lies first in clearly understanding the intended use, and only then can the right steel grade be selected. Among these, only about six steel grades are commonly used in architectural and construction applications. All of them contain 17% to 22% chromium, with higher-quality varieties also incorporating nickel. Adding molybdenum can further enhance resistance to atmospheric corrosion.

High-Pressure Pipe Fitting Analysis: High-Pressure Elbow Manufacturing Process

The manufacturing process for bent pipes begins by welding a multi-faceted ring shell with a polygonal cross-section—or a closed, multi-faceted sector shell at both ends. Once the inside of the bend is filled with a pressurized medium, internal pressure is applied. Under this pressure, the polygonal cross-section gradually transforms into a circular shape, ultimately forming a fully round ring shell. This technique is ideal for producing large-sized, high-pressure bends where the ratio of the centerline diameter to the inner diameter of stamped bends exceeds 1.5—and it’s the perfect method for crafting sizable, standard-compliant bends. High-pressure bends are widely used in piping systems across industries such as petroleum, natural gas, chemical processing, hydroelectric power, construction, and boiler applications. Importantly, this process eliminates the need for pipe billets as raw material, significantly reducing costs associated with pipe-making equipment and molds, while also enabling the production of bends with virtually any desired length.
